Infection Prevention Team Member - University of Kansas Hospital
The University of Kansas Hospital is a licensed 611 bed facility, Tra uma Level 1 center and has 9 ICUs. We also have a Bone Marrow Transplant
unit and Burn center. The new member will be joining a team of 3 ICPs who are all certified.

We currently have an opening for a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in Infection Control.
Responsibilities:
*Demonstrate knowledge of Infection, prevention and control issues
*Demonstrates collaborative working relationship and works under the direction of the Infection Control Manager
*Performs daily review of positive patient cultures and assists unit nurses in identifying and placing patients in appropriate transmission-based precautions.
*Performs data collection, production and analysis for Infection Prevention and Control Surveillance Program
*Serves as a first line contact for nursing and house staff questions regarding transmission-based precautions and exposures to transmissible agents
*Provides formal and informal Infection Prevention and Control education to hospital associates
*Bachelors Degree in Nursing required
*Minimum of 2 years experience in specialty clinical area required
*RN license in the state of KS required
*Masters Degree preferred
*CIC certification strongly preferred
